2016 Triple Crown Rules Welcome! Our main goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for our riders, and their families. We may implement other large organizations race rules, but due to the limited classes offered, our rules may be different. Please read our rules. If you agree with them, we would love to have you! We will not tolerate un-sportsman like conduct towards the TC staff, Track staff, Or towards other riders. Verbal/Physical harassment can/will lead to permanent disqualification. Entrants, Riders and participants are required to know and understand the rules posted by TC and the Track participating prior to their entry and are (by reason of their entry) definitely bound by such rules and regulations. Each participant present has the responsibility to assess the safety of track facilities and MUST assume the risk of participation and competition. It is the riders and/or guardians responsibility to know his/her limitations and to ride within them. TC reserves the right to modify rules under certain circumstances, All rules are under the sole discretion of TC race officials.
Membership: No membership required.
Transponders: Not offered at this time.
Entry Fees: $35.00 first class, $30.00 each additional class (same rider). CASH ONLY
Refunds/Rain checks: No refunds will be given after practice ends. Rain checks are given under the discretion of Triple Crown.
Entry forms: Entry forms must be read back and front and signed and dated by Race entrant and both the minor (if applicable) and guardian. No riders shall be on the race track without first entering the race and signing the Participant Assumption of risk and liability release. you can pre register by emailing us at Triplecrownmx@yahoo.com prior to the Friday before any event. Once you get a confirmation email back, Your name will be added into the computer after the early sign up riders and YOUR PARTIALLY COMPLETED ENTRY WILL BE IN THE FILE AT SIGN UP. Please ask for it, or you will added into the system twice. If you sign up early but dont show, or email us to let us know, we may not offer that to you again,
Age of rider: Age is as of January 1st of the current year except for Vet classes. Vet classes are the age of the rider the day of the race.
Trophies: Race day trophies are given out at 30%. There will be an * by your name if you get one. Any trophy not picked up the day of the event will be forfeited to TC.
Starting gate: Gate pick for Moto one is done by order of sign up. Moto two is done by finish order from round one. If you change classes or make changes to your entry after initial sign up your gate pick may change. If more than one class is racing per moto, Gate picks are done by highest class/ability/age group to lowest and/or gate drop order.
If you do not show up to gate pick at a timely manner you will lose your gate pick. Only the entered rider can hold his/her spot at the gate when called in for gate pick, No-one can hold a place for a rider.
THE RIDER MUST BE AT THE START LINE FOR HIS/HER EVENT. We will not Stop/hold an event for a missing rider.
Changing bikes: A rider must start and finish a moto on the same bike. However a rider may ride a different bike for every moto as long as it is qualified for that class and Sign up is aware of the bike type/number change prior to the following motos.
Leaving/cutting the race course: Any rider cutting or leaving the course during the race for any reason and then deciding to resume the race must enter at his/her place of exit before another lap may be counted. If it is UNSAFE OR IMPOSSIBLE to re-enter at the riders place of exit he or she must re-enter at the safest possible place which is closest to his/her exit without improving his/her position. Any rider deemed to be cutting the track or missing obstacles, markers such as hay bales on the track can be penalized positions in that moto by TC race officials.
Numbers and Number plates: All numbers must be 5” high. Either solid black on a white background, or solid white on a black background. NUMBERS ONLY ON NUMBER PLATES. No decals please. All 3 sides. Chest protectors if numbered must have the same number as bike. **If an X is required it is because you have a duplicate number as someone who has entered before you, please check the board prior to your race to see if an X is required. We will provide them to you. If you do not add the X, the race may be scored incorrectly.
Chatterbox: Not allowed during racing Protective gear: All riders must be wearing protective leather boots extending far enough up the leg so as no gap occurs between boots and the bottom of the pant leg, when in any riding position. Boots must also offer adequate ankle and shin support and protection. Riders must weat D.O.T. or SNELL approved helmets in good condition at all times during the course of the events. Eye protection must be worn at all times. Eyewear must be made of shatter/splinter proof material and must be kept clear and not obstructed or impaired. Gloves, Shoulder pads, Full coverage, close fitting MX type gear is recommended for extra protection.
Motorcycle regulations: *All kickstands/stands must be removed from the motorcycle before it enters the race course. *Brakes must be in good condition, properly adjusted and capable of locking the front and rear wheel. *All controls must be in good condition and working properly. Cables adjusted properly, Kill switch on the left handlebar must be functioning, folding foot pegs required. *All bikes must be suitable for competition. Any bike deemed unsafe for racing will not be allowed to compete.
Practice: Rider must be signed up for the event prior to going out for practice. Riders must go out in his designated practice, or you may be penalized. Clean bike practices are for bikes that HAVE NOT gone out on the track during normal practice, If you are going out on both you can be penalized.
Official Flags: All flag signals must be obeyed immediately by all riders. Any rider who disregards any flag signal may be penalized.
Green: Start of race Yellow: Danger on the track, Use caution between danger/problem area. reduce speed and hold position. Red: Stop of race White: One lap to go until finish Black: Rider pull off, DSQ Blue: Move over, rider trying to pass Black and white checkered: Finish, end of race. Always keep racing until you see this!
Restarting a race: There will be no restarting a race unless TC officials find that current conditions will endanger participants involved, or if there was a starting gate malfunction or some interference as determined by TC race officials.
Scoring: No transponders used at this time. Any scoring issue must be made in writing within 30mins of posting. Final decisions will be made and reposted if needed under the discretion of TC officials.
Protests: Protests made regarding a riders age or classification must be made by a rider within the same class in question. All protests must be made clearly in writing within 30mins of the posted event and may require results or other information in reference to any recognized race organization. If a protest is made regarding a rider’s ability after a finished moto, We may have to review such rider at the next moto or race. Any rider protested after round 1 or without clear classification documentation from another organized series may not be moved up until after the series end or under the discretion of TC. Classification changes are not taken lightly as this does not just affect this series and is a decision that requires much consideration. Final decisions will made after consideration by Triple Crown MX . *TC officials may move a rider up or down in any class as determined based on the riders ability. If moved after the race is completed half of your points will follow you to your new class unless the rider is moved due to a protest with official results showing rider is racing outside current race classification.

Triple Crown MX reserves the right to move a rider up or down based on their ability.
**** Please make sure you are riding the same age/classes you ride at other events. A rider cannot move himself back in age group (unless the series you are racing outside triple crown offers different classes) for example you cannot race beginner or class. *****
-50cc Beg 4-6 and 7/8: All bikes but PW50. -50cc 4-6 up to 10" wheels ok: MUST CHOOSE ONE , they race TOGETHER but are scored sep. 4-6: up to 12" wheels ok 51cc max.

65cc age groups, max 65cc
* girls 85cc class is now girls 85cc/150f class *85cc/150cc Intro Begs thru 11 must move up after the first year of racing, unless deemed unsafe to move up by TC officials.
*85cc/150cc Big wheels are only allowed in the following classes: Intro-Beg, Beg, Open and Supermini.
*Any bike 85cc 2 stroke-150cc four stroke can ride the 85cc open class.
*85cc max/150f four stroke max for 85cc/150f age groups, No BW
*No Beginners in the Supermini class.
125cc 2 stroke can ride: College boy/Schoolboy/125cc 2 stroke (125cc only) /250cc Beg/250cc Open/250cc,450cc Beg open. 125cc Not allowed in 250cc NOV/INT/PRO *Schoolboy: rider can ride 125cc/144cc/250cc 2 stroke and 250cc four stroke. Rider must be 17yrs or younger as of 01-01 of the current year.
* 250cc Nov/Int/Pro: Can ride 250cc/2stroke and 250cc four stroke. *450cc Beg/Nov/Int/Open/Pro: Can ride 250cc 2 stroke/250cc/450cc four stroke
Pro-Pay back: Paid classes are: 250 Pro, 450 Pro, 250/450 Pro Open and Vet Pro Open. We pay 100% back minus DNF/DNS, at 40% of the number of entries per class. example 10 in a class top 4 would get paid.) No end of the series trophies. No multiple class discounts or refunds given.
